This event will focus on how satellite earth observation data can be used to support agricultural services. Our three talks will explain how satellite data works and how it could be/has been used to improve the way we farm.

  1. Introducing EU Grassland Watch – Using satellite data to explore the evolution of grassland (Geoff Smith, Specto Natura)
  2. Using satellite imagery to predict yield in vining peas (Ben Hockridge, ADAS)
  3. Demystifying satellite imaging – making remote sensing useful to farmers (Andy Shaw, Assimila)
