The Lithuanian Agricultural Advisory Service is organising a remote international conference for farmers and all those who are interested in soil processes – “Healthy Soil for Healthy Crop Yields” – on 9–10 February 2022 (Wednesday–Thursday).
LAAS has been working with the country’s farmers for almost three decades, so it can confidently say that it knows their needs well. One of them is knowledge in farm technology, especially soil improvement. Therefore, in order to ensure that farmers have access to the latest best scientific, advisory and practical information from Lithuania and abroad, LAAS is organising an international event to share the latest information on soil health and fertility management.
We are glad that we were able to combine the experience of different countries in the preparation of the programme, but the selected countries have a lot of similarities with Lithuania, so that the knowledge can be applied in our country, taking into account the climatic conditions and farming culture.
The two-day remote conference “Healthy Soil for Healthy Crop Yields” will bring together speakers from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Lithuania to share their experiences. Participants include: farmers, scientists, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of agribusinesses, and interested listeners from Lithuania and abroad.
