The School of Sustainable Food and Farming (SSFF) enables farmers to understand how to produce food sustainably, expanding the industry's knowledge on the environment, animal welfare, positive farming relationships and skills at the heart of producing nutritious, tasty, British food.

We want to equip farmers with the skills and knowledge to reach ‘net zero’, bringing this to life through training with trusted advisors. The school will be a central hub for farmers to share their understanding on sustainable farming linking with the next generation. There is the ability to ensure improved farm systems for farmers. This means a lowered emissions footprint and improved sequestration offsetting on a whole farm system approach.

The Oxford Farming Conference (OFC) is the leading international conference held in the UK for farming and agribusiness. It takes place in January every year located in the historic and inspiring surroundings of Oxford University. The OFC's mission is to inform, challenge and inspire the 560 or so delegates who attend, to resonate and be a force for positive change throughout the industry. OFC 2023 will explore systemic solutions to the cumulative biodiversity, climate, food and energy crises that collectively we are facing, with optimism and determination not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Knowledge Exchange in Agriculture in the UK is diverse, with many organisations involved. That is part of the reason for creating Farm-PEP, to help provide connections to what many percieve as a fragmented landscape.

The School of Sustainable Food and Farming Journey to Net Zero Competition is looking to support the development or implementation of a system, process or processes which will have a positive, measurable impact on how winners can farm in a sustainable way. There is a total of £50k available which will be awarded in grants of between £5k-20k.
