Now more than ever we are seeing exponential growth in school engagement with more teachers and young people working with us collectively; equally more of the public are keen to learn and experience where their food comes from. This Pop-up Knowledge Hub seeks to share best practices, give greater confidence and upskill those of us who reach out beyond the farm gate.
Be inspired by the team whether you are new to working with young people and the public to understand food production, farming and the environment. Or even if you are an expert-hand then come and be motivated to offer different opportunities to young people, we aim to motivate you in to trying and being even more confident in your offer to schools and the public.
Hear, get involved and learn through practical workshops with the LEAF Education Specialists, the LEAF Open Farm Sunday team and the wider LEAF team.
LEAF Director, Education and Public Engagement, Carl Edwards, will also share and present the latest findings of our industry-leading research with 2,500 young people, working with The School of Sustainable Food and Farming and McDonalds UK – ‘How Do Young People Perceive and Value the Agri-Food Industry?’
