Whether you’re a farmer, agronomist, academic, or innovator, regenerative agriculture is one of the hottest topics in the farming industry right now. Hear from four guest speakers to gain an overview of the regen ag journey from academia through to practical application, and the opportunities at each step. Is the journey linked? Is research successfully filtering down? What can we learn from each step? We hope to explore these questions and compare current outcomes for stakeholders, from principles through to practice.
Guest speakers:
- Dr Michail Giannitsopoulos from Cranfield University will discuss his research on the effect of different conservation tillage systems from a regen ag perspective.
- James Standen from Newcastle University will present the initial findings of field trials the university farm been undertaking, using regen ag equipment and tools.
- Agronomist and Nuffield Scholar Chris Taylor from Agrii will share perspectives on regen ag for the agronomist and farmer.
- Riverford Organic Farmers’ Harriet Bell will discuss the challenges of making the switch over to regen ag, from both an organic perspective, and as a major consumer brand.
Questions and reflections for the guest speaker panel will then be welcomed at the end during a live Q&A.
This event is being chaired by CHAP’s Janine Adamson, and BASIS points will be available.
