The ‘BASIS IPM in…’ webinar series will focus on the importance of integrated pest management in agriculture, horticulture and amenity. IPM is becoming increasingly important as we look to move towards a more sustainable future and we will be working with several key organisations throughout the industry to provide you with exciting and engaging content.
Our first webinar, at 12pm on 10th November, will be ‘IPM in Agriculture’ and has been produced in collaboration with the Voluntary Initiative and the NFU. Completing an IPM plan not only helps us to improve sustainable practices and reduce reliance on pesticides but also ensures that opportunities to improve productivity are not missed. In some cases, it is also necessary for compliance with farm assurance schemes.
IPM is a whole farm approach to pest management and Neal Evans, Operations Director at the VI and Chris Hartfield, Senior Regulatory Affairs Adviser at the NFU will explain why IPM is increasingly important and how we should be monitoring and tracking this on farm.
This webinar is free to attend for all our BASIS members and more widely to anyone with an interest in IPM.
