I'm a Senior Lecturer in Spatial Archaeometry at the University of Glasgow, specialising in remote sensing applications in landscape archaeology. My technical expertise lies in airborne laserscanning, hyperspectral imaging, geospatial data analysis, and data interoperability. My current research project, the ipaast-czo, focuses on the intersection of agricultural, environmental and archaeological remote and near surface sensing methods to support integrated approaches to sustainable land management. I am involved in a range of long term research initiatives leveraging digital data and methods, from developing interoperable data and search tools for human ecodynamics research in the North Atlantic, to helping investigate the impacts of machine learning on archaeological survey methods, to exploring how VR can assist in interpreting topographic models.
